“The Team Challenge” is a team triathlon made up of two or three people (swimmer, cyclist and runner or runner/cyclist/runner).
The distances are Swim 750m or Run 2.5km / Bike 21.5km / Run 5km
Course Description:
Swim Course
The swim will be 750m triangular course in Lake Rua. Most athletes will wear wetsuits but you will be OK without as long as you do not suffer badly in cold water.
Bike Course
The bike will be almost two laps of the course. Towards the end of your first lap you do not come all the way back to transition, you make a U turn at the McLeans Island roundabout and complete a second lap.

Run Course
The run will be two laps comprising an out and back on a trail towards the Groynes then a lap of the lake in an anti clockwise direction. The entire run is on shingle paths.

Team Tag: The change over is at the bike racks next to the teams designated position. The swimmer (or 1st runner) exits the swim and runs to the bike racks and hands over timing chip strap to the biker. At the conclusion of the bike leg the cyclist racks his/her bike and passes on timing chip strap to the runner. All three team members can run down the finish chute together.
