"The Try a Tri/du” race is targeted at the novice athlete, for those stepping up from pool based triathlons and for juniors who are making the transition from shorter distances. 

The safe and sheltered waters of the man made lake make this event ideal for anyone who wants the challenge of a triathlon but has been worried about swimming in the sea. 
The distances for this race are 125m swim (or a 1km run) / 10km bike / 5km run. 

Course Description:

  • Swim Course - the course covers 125m within the lake OR Run 1km

  • Bike Course – the bike will be 2 laps of the course = 10km. Any sort of bike is allowed. You do not need a racing bike; the only thing we will insist on is that you wear a cycle helmet.

  • Run Course – the run will be one lap of the lake = 2.5km.
