We're here to help you comfortably and confidently cross the finish line at the Waitomo Triathlon Festival this December — and have an unforgettable time doing it!

🏊🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️ What’s It All About?

This 10-week training programme is designed specifically for new and novice athletes. You’ll be guided every step of the way by Triathlon New Zealand-qualified coaches who know how to bring the best out of beginners. You don’t need fancy gear or years of experience — just a desire to give it a go.

Each week, you’ll enjoy 2–3 coached group sessions, where you’ll train alongside others on the same journey as you. Group training makes it easier, more fun, and way more motivating. You’ll build fitness, learn the skills, and form friendships that go beyond race day.

💡 What You’ll Learn

We’ll ease you into triathlon with the fundamentals and gradually ramp things up:

Swim, Bike, Run Basics – Core technique and confidence
Open Water Swim Skills – Safe and efficient lake swimming
Transition Training – Smoothly switch between disciplines
Course Familiarisation – Get to know the Waitomo course
Race Day Readiness – Practical tips and pacing strategies
Fitness Building – Improve endurance and strength
