"The Try a Tri/Du” race is targeted at the novice athlete, for those stepping up from pool based triathlons and for juniors who are making the transition from shorter distances.
The safe and sheltered waters of the lake make this event ideal for anyone who wants the challenge of a triathlon but has been worried about swimming in the sea.
The distances for this race are 150m swim (or a 1km run) / 13km bike / 2.5km run.
Course Description:
Swim Course
the course covers 150m within the lake
The duathlon starts with a run of 1km (around the lake without the out/back leg)
Bike Course
The bike will be 1 laps of the course = 13km.
Any sort of bike is allowed. You do not need a racing bike; the only thing we will insist on is that you wear a cycle helmet.
